This position is responsible to build a custom Bill of Materials for each order, based on sales specifications, and update the BOMs as changes to specifications occur; maintaining accurate and timely records to meet production requirements. In addition this position will be responsible to identify and source special order items as required.
Essential Functions

• Ability to maintain accurate, detailed, and timely records and reports
• Ability to identify and resolve complex problems and to communicate the problem and resolution to senior management
• Ability to source wide variety of products/parts, negotiate favorable pricing and if needed, terms for payment and a firm delivery date.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Ability to work in front of a monitor screen for long periods of time
• Ability to enter, create and maintain data using Microsoft Office products
• Ability to create and maintain reports in Excel Spreadsheets and to use automated Inventory Control software.
• Ability to coordinate closely with Project Coordinators and Designers to determine specific project requirements
Job Requirements
Education: High School Diploma
Position Requirements: This position serves as a crucial liaison between the Project Coordinator, Materials Manager, engineering and manufacturing.
Knowledge Requirements: Knowledge of materials procurement preferably in a manufacturing environment where meeting production goals is a priority.
Required Experience: Prior experience working in the emergency vehicle manufacturing environment is desirable.
