Title Stockroom Materials Handler
Job Information

Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to accurately pick and package material required by production.
This position involves the physical handling of items or goods. This position is responsible for performing clerical and physical tasks in connection with stockroom organization that include; Bill of Material analysis, picking parts, inventory management and performing computer transactions for parts used in the production of emergency response vehicles.
Essential Functions
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, carry or otherwise move boxes and materials weighing up to 50 lbs
• Ability to use hand truck and pallet jack for moving bulky or heavy items (50+ lbs)
• Ability to safely and competently operate a Forklift unloading trucks and loading into pallet rack storage.
• Ability to use a keyboard and computer using MAX Inventory Control software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

Other Functions
• Receiving and storing items according to BNW’s established standards.
• Receive and count stock/special items, and record data manually or using computer.
• Sort, mark, and issue parts received.
• Inspect items for correct quantities and damage.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in supply rooms or other areas.
• Maintain a clean and orderly stockroom.
• Process UPS and FedEx shipments.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other job-related tasks as needed; enabling other workers to achieve their job objectives.
• Perform quarterly cycle counts of inventory.

Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Basic reading, writing and arithmetic, normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
Position Requirements: Working in a fast-paced environment, excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills, and ability to work under pressure. Materials and tools used in this position include but are not limited to; box knife to open shipments, keyboard and computer to process shipments and maintain inventory control; and operation of forklift.
Knowledge Requirements: Demonstrated knowledge of shipping and receiving, Supply Chain/Stockroom Management, MRP and Inventory principles.
Required Experience: Experience in the manufacturing industry
Experience using computers and keyboarding functions to include; Word, Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft Office programs is desirable
