Chassis Prep / Final Assembly

Braun Northwest, Inc. (BNW) is now hiring for a Chassis Prep position in Chehalis, WA.

The schedule is Monday-Friday, 40hrs per week with a start time between 5:00am and 6:00am. This position is overtime eligible. The compensation for this position is $18-$24/hr DOE/DOQ.

BNW is looking for a chassis prepper to join our team in the Final Assembly Department. This position is responsible for preparing the chassis for installation of the completed module and perform final inspection of the emergency vehicles in order to ensure each vehicle is completed per customer specifications prior to delivery.

In order to be successful in this position, the candidate must have:

• the ability to install siren speakers, air horns, winches aftermarket bumpers, after market suspensions and various customer requested accessories.
• the mechanical ability to install aftermarket auxiliary air conditioning compressor to chassis engine.
• the ability to maneuver underneath and inside chassis throughout the day
• the ability to reach above head for varying periods of time throughout the day.
• the ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs as needed.
• the ability to grasp small hand tools in order to complete work required.
• the ability to work in a team setting, and follow verbal and written instructions.

Basic welding and cutting experience and experience utilizing basic carpentry and mechanical skills are desirable.
