Job Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, these positions are responsible for the general maintenance and cleaning of all areas and equipment throughout the plant.
Essential Functions
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time, and on occasion crawl into tight areas in order to complete cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Ability to move objects which could exceed 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform general maintenance duties specific to each area’s needs
- Ability to pull and push to complete cleaning, for example: sweeping, vacuuming and maneuvering of heavy floor cleaning machines.
Duties of Position
- Work areas in shop: Daily; empty all trash barrels and sweep floors, dust vacuum where needed. Weekly; clean stationary tools, check safety guards, empty dust collection bags, and clean around all pillars and walls. Check for damaged cord and hoses frequently.
- Clean rest rooms daily: check and replace all paper products, clean sinks, urinals and toilets. Empty trash containers and mop floors. On as as needed basis replace urinal cakes, scrub floor areas, wipe down walls and stall dividers, and clean mirrors.
- Public areas in shop: Daily; sweep and dust as needed, clean drinking fountains with disinfectant, empty wire recycling bins, clean and dust Mezzanine level. Weekly; clean floors with floor-machine; check and refill empty bottles and maintain supply in bulk containers from the assembly cleaning fluids.
- Lunchroom: Daily; sweep floor, clean sink, replace paper products, and wipe down tables with disinfectant cleaner. Weekly; mop floor, clean refrigerator, and microwaves. Monthly; clean all floors with floor-machine.
